Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Education: High School Diploma
Job Tasks: My company makes pallets of various types of wood and sizes and heat treats them as requested for the customer.
My title is Administrative Assistant. My primary responsibility is to do the billing from the previous business day of delivery from the packing slips signed. Once completed for the day, I print the invoices - two copies - one for the customer to be mailed with the original signed packing slip and one for my company to be stapled and filed. After I am done stuffing the envelopes I seal them and manually put postage stamps on them and put them in the outgoing mail tray for the mail person. Once done daily, I process the days end total and record it in a ledger book.
Best and Worst Parts of the Job: The best parts of the job is people contact over the phone and in person. I am very much a people person. I also enjoy taking a customer's order over the phone.
The worst parts of the job are that it is only part-time and I need full-time to be able to support myself. Also, I do not have a desk or computer.
