What is Google Co-op?

The Google Co-op program lets you to customize and supplement your search results when you sign up for direct access to content (such as information, articles, news, reviews, etc.) from web sites such as CityTownInfo.com. The web site's content is then accessible directly in Google search result pages.

For example, if you signed up for CityTownInfo.com's content and you search for the name of a city such as "palo alto, ca", you will get information on Palo Alto, California from CityTownInfo.com directly integrated into your Google search results. What is the cost of subscribing?

Subscribing to CityTownInfo.com's content is completely free.

What are the benefits to subscribing to CityTownInfo.com's content?

There are two key benefits:

2. You will save time by getting an information capsule on a community directly and conveniently in your search results. The CityTownInfo.com results appear close to the top of the search results page. You can then go directly to our site to receive more detailed information about the place you searched for.

How do I subscribe to CityTownInfo.com's content on Google Co-op?

1. Visit CTI's sign-up page on Google.
2. Click on the "Subscribe" button.
3. If you already have a Google account (e.g. if you have a gmail account or subscribe to another Google service), you will need to log in if you have not already done so. If you do not have a Google account, you will need to create one first (you will be directed to do so after you attempt to subscribe). There is no charge for creating a Google account. Signing up for a Google account is extremely simple - requiring just an email address, name and password - and generally takes less than two minutes.

How do I unsubscribe?

You can visit the same page where you subscribed and simply click on the unsubscribe button. You need to be logged into your Google account. Alternatively, Google gives you an opportunity to unsubscribe whenever a search result appears from a CityTownInfo.com content.

What kind of information will I get about a town from CityTownInfo.com through Google Co-op?

The information presented in the Google search results from our content varies depending on the community you are searching on, but you will generally see population, area code, zip code (if there is only one), nearest large city, and comments on any notable characteristics such as political leanings, high or low crime profile, high or low average income, and others.
