About the study

The list includes all colleges and institutions with at least 10,000 students. To be considered for this list, the school must admit at least some men. Contrary to what one might conclude from its name, the first university on the list, Texas Woman's University, does admit men.

While a few of these schools were historically for women only or focus on majors that attract women, there are several colleges and university on this list, such as Hunter College and UNC Greensboro, that have broad appeal to both genders.
