They offer a 12-month Surgical Technology program which results in a Certificate of Surgical Technology or a 24-month program that awards the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Surgical Technology.

  • Itawamba Community College: One of the programs on offer at ICC is the Associate of Applied Science in Surgical Technology. This prepares graduates to become a member of a surgical team with the option of taking the National Certifying Examination for Surgical Technologists being available at the end of the program.

  • Meridian Community College: At MCC there are a number of courses on offer, including nursing and health education programs. One of these is their Surgical Technology course, which is a one-year certificate program that's accredited by the Accreditation Review Council on Education in Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (ARC/STSA).

  • Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College: With four campuses based in Lucedale, Long Beach, Gulfport and Biloxi, MGCCC offers a number of programs for students.
