Anaheim Introduction
Anaheim is located in Southern California, in Orange County. It is the second largest city in Orange County, the tenth largest city in California, and one of the 60 largest cities in the United States. It is approximately 30 minutes southeast of Los Angeles and an hour and forty minutes northwest of San Diego. The 2005 US Census estimate places the population of Anaheim at just under 330,000 people. This is essentially unchanged from the population reported by the 2000 census.

Since the year 2000, five of the public schools that serve Anaheim have received "Distinguished School Awards" from the California School Recognition Program.

In 2005, the median family income in Anaheim was $56,478. This was slightly above the national average at that time ($55,832).
