Palos Verdes Estates History

Palos Verdes Estates was initially developed by Frank Vanderlip, who at that time was the president of the City National Bank, New York. He took great care in planning the city and hired The Olmsted Brothers, a prominent architectural firm. The area was incorporated as a city in 1939.
