The county seat for San Bernardino county, the City of San Bernardino, is located in the Inland Empire in Southern California. It is located one hour east of Los Angeles. San Bernardino does not really have neighborhoods with official names. Rather, San Bernardino's neighborhoods have taken the name of their location, or tract. San Bernardino Economy
The big drivers of the San Bernardino economy are education, health, and social services; retail trade; and manufacturing. Major employers include: Wal-Mart, Stater Brothers Markets, Loma Linda University Medical Center, the County of San Bernardino, and the County of Riverside.
