Introduction to Willows, California
Willows, California, in Glenn county, is 23 miles SW of Chico, California (center to center) and 75 miles NW of Sacramento, California. There are an estimated 6,220 people in the city.
Willows History
The first post office of Willow was established in the year 1876. The place was renamed Willows in 1916. It is the county seat of Glenn County, which was formed in 1891. The county was named in honor of Dr. Hugh J. Glen, who was not only a well known farmer of that area, but also an eminent personality in the social and political sphere.

There are a number of places to visit in Willows. They are the Chico Museum and the Sacramento Valley Museum which expose visitors to the rich culture and heritage of the county. One can pay a visit to the Bidwell Mansion State Historic Park which is a historical landmark of the state of California. Tourists can also have a nice time at the Delevan National Wildlife Refuge, and the Sacramento National Wild life Refuge.
