Bridgewater, Connecticut, in Litchfield county, is 10 miles NE of Danbury, Connecticut (center to center) and 63 miles NE of New York, New York. The town is included in the Danbury metropolitan area. As of the year 2000 census, 1,824 people lived in Bridgewater.
