Suffield, Connecticut is 8 miles S of Springfield, Massachusetts and 85 miles W of Boston, Massachusetts. It is in Hartford county. The population of Suffield is 13,552.
Suffield History
The area now known as Suffield was once named Southfield. It was originally incorporated on May 20, 1674. At that time, it was a part of Massachusetts. The town of Suffield was annexed by Connecticut in 1749 and was reincorporated in March 1682.
