Lynn Haven, Florida, in Bay county, is 69 miles S of Dothan, Alabama (center to center) and 238 miles W of Jacksonville, Florida. The city benefits from easy access to the nearby cities and towns with which it shares the Panama City metropolitan area. Lynn Haven contains a population of approximately 12,451.
Lynn Haven History
Lynn Park was initially developed as a retirement community by W.H. Lynn who was a senator from New York. He planned Lynn Haven with encouragement from Minor C. Keith, who bought vast acreage in the area where Lynn Haven is presently located. Lynn Haven was incorporated in July 1914. It was declared a city by a Florida Legislature amendment in 1927.

Things To Do In Lynn Haven
Lynn Haven has seven parks that have playgrounds and also offer facilities for sports. One can take part in various sporting activities that are organized in these parks. A golf course also exists along with a nature trail. The Fourth of July celebrations of this area are very famous because it is one of the largest celebrations in Bay County, with several events taking place throughout the day.
