Woodstock, Georgia, in Cherokee county, is 10 miles NW of Roswell, Georgia and 25 miles N of Atlanta, Georgia. The city benefits from easy access to the nearby cities and towns that it shares the Atlanta metropolitan area with. Woodstock contains a population of approximately 10,050.
Woodstock History
The community of Woodstock was most likely formed during the early years of the 19th century. Records state that a postmaster was employed in Woodstock in 1833. The area was officially incorporated as a city in 1897. Railroads entered the city in 1879, leading to rapid development of the area.

Things To Do In Woodstock
While in Woodstock, one can pay a visit to the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History, which was formerly known as the Kennesaw Civil War Museum. Barrington Hall, the historic home of the co-founder of Roswell, Barrington King, is also close by. The Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park, which was a battleground during the Civil War, is also a popular tourist spot. The Woodstock Commons Shopping Center and the Woodstock Village Shopping Center are also nearby.
