I love this little town! I have many fond memories of visiting my grandparents. Bancroft has such a great feeling of peace. In the summer, you hear the combines cutting the grain, hay getting cut, pipe movers in the field in early morning and evening, grain trucks coming and going, and you also get to hear the train whistle a few times during the day.
We come and visit 2-3 times a year - one of them on the 4th of July when this little town gets travrlers from all over to see the parade, rodeo, historical program, and other activities throughout the day. I will cherish this place always. You can't find very many places where you can get away from the rush of the big cities. Thanks Bancroft for being one of those rare places.
