Introduction to Carmi, Illinois
Carmi is located in White county, along the Little Wabash river. The oldest house in Carmi was built in 1814. It has now been converted into a museum and is maintained by the White County Historical Society. The name Carmi was been derived from the Bible. It was the name of Joseph’s nephew.
