Forsyth, Illinois, in Macon county, is 6 miles N of Decatur, Illinois (center to center) and 114 miles NE of St. Louis, Missouri. The village is included in the Decatur metropolitan area. As of the year 2000 census, 2,434 people lived in Forsyth.
