Rochester, Illinois, in Sangamon county, is 7 miles SE of Springfield, Illinois (center to center) and 87 miles NE of St. Louis, Missouri. The village benefits from easy access to the nearby cities and towns with which it shares the Springfield metropolitan area. Rochester contains a population of approximately 2,893.
