Sherman, Illinois, in Sangamon county, is 6 miles N of Springfield, Illinois (center to center) and 94 miles NE of St. Louis, Missouri. The village benefits from easy access to the nearby cities and towns with which it shares the Springfield metropolitan area. Sherman contains a population of approximately 2,871.
