Manchester, Iowa, in Delaware county, is located 34 miles N of Cedar Rapids, Iowa (center to center) and is 184 miles W of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The city has a population of approximately 5,257.

Manchester History

Manchester is the county seat of Delaware County. The city was named after a city of Manchester in England. In 1866, Manchester was incorporated by the Iowa State Legislature. Delaware County was founded in 1840 and was named after Delaware Senator John M. Clayton.
