Polk City, Iowa, in Polk county, is 13 miles NW of Des Moines, Iowa (center to center) and 120 miles E of Omaha, Nebraska. The city benefits from easy access to the nearby cities and towns with which it shares the Des Moines metropolitan area. Polk City contains a population of approximately 2,344.
