Shenandoah, Iowa, in Page county, is located 42 miles SE of Council Bluffs, Iowa (center to center) and is 45 miles SE of Omaha, Nebraska. The city has a population of 5,546.

Shenandoah History

This city was incorporated in 1871. Shenandoah is also referred to as the Garden City. It was previously considered to be the "seed and nursery center of the world". The city is in Page County, which was founded in 1847. This county was named after the 4th U.S. Infantry Captain John Page.
