Ottawa History

The city of Ottawa is the county seat of Franklin County, and is located in the Kansas City metro area. The community was named after the Indian tribe which lived in the area from 1837 to 1867 and donated the land for Ottawa University. The city is one of the most populous cities of Franklin County.
