Central City, Kentucky, in Muhlenberg county, is located 33 miles S of Owensboro, Kentucky (center to center) and is 80 miles N of Nashville, Tennessee. The city has a population of 5,893.

Central City History

The Central City located in the state of Kentucky was incorporated in the year 1882, and was first established in the year 1826. At that time it was known as Morehead's Horse Mill. The city was originally a village that spread across an area of 200 acres. However, it has gradually developed into one of the large cities in Muhlenberg County. Much of the City's growth is because of her favorable location.

Every year the city organizes the Central City Music Festival in the month of September and Gospelfest in the month of August. The visitors can also enjoy these festivals along with the natives.
