Edgewood History
The city of Edgewood is in the Bluegrass region, in the Kenton County. The county is located in the Cincinnati metro area. The city was established in the year 1948 and was sparsely populated. It was from the year 1948, the city witnessed several mergers and annexations. The biggest merger occurred in the year 1968 when the cities of Edgewood, Summit Hills Heights, and St. Pius Heights worked in close coordination on several issues. This laid the foundation of the present day Edgewood that evolved in the year 1969.
