Middletown History

The city of Middletown is located in Jefferson County and is a part of the Louisville metro area. The was so named due to its location between Louisville and Shelbyville. The city was incorporated in the year 1797. Middleton is known for its unique mixture of the old and the rapidly growing community. This close - knit community nurtures the artistic spirit in its community. Previously sparsely populated, this historic city has gradually evolved in to a populous city.
