The city of Pineville is in Rapides Parish, in the Alexandria metro area. The city is located in the geographic center of the state. Pineville is almost 275 years old. Prior to the arrival of the white settlers, the area was occupied by the Native Americans. Construction of building started in the area in the 1700s.
