Kensington, Maryland, in Montgomery county, is 3 miles NE of Bethesda, Maryland (center to center) and 9 miles N of Washington, District of Columbia. The town benefits from easy access to the nearby cities and towns with which it shares the Washington metropolitan area. Kensington contains a population of approximately 1,873.
