Ludlow History

Ludlow is also called Stoney Hill. It was previously settled in 1750 as the northeast precinct of Springfield, Massachusetts. It was later incorporated as a separate town on February 28, 1774. The origin of its name still remains a mystery; some people believe that Ludlow got its name from Roger Ludlow, a prominent New England citizen.
