Mansfield, Massachusetts, in Bristol county, is 10 miles NW of Taunton, Massachusetts and 23 miles S of Boston, Massachusetts. The town is included in the Boston metropolitan area. As of the year 2000 census, 22,414 people lived in Mansfield.

Mansfield History

The first settlement in Mansfield occurred in 1658. The city was incorporated officially in the year 1775. The city got its name from William Murray, the 1st Earl of Mansfield.
