New Salem, Massachusetts, in Franklin county, is 28 miles NE of Chicopee, Massachusetts (center to center) and 65 miles W of Boston, Massachusetts. The town benefits from easy access to the nearby cities and towns with which it shares the Springfield metropolitan area. New Salem contains a population of approximately 929.
