Rehoboth History

The Rehoboth Carpenter Family founded Rehoboth along with several other families. The area was incorporated in 1643 as a part of Plymouth Colony. This makes it one of the oldest towns of Massachusetts. It is also said to be among the first places in North America where the system of public education was born.
