Rehoboth, Massachusetts, in Bristol county, is 7 miles E of Pawtucket, Rhode Island and 37 miles S of Boston, Massachusetts. Part of the surrounding Providence - Fall River - Warwick metro area, Rehoboth is home to some 10,172 residents.
Rehoboth History
The Rehoboth Carpenter Family founded Rehoboth along with several other families. The area was incorporated in 1643 as a part of Plymouth Colony. This makes it one of the oldest towns of Massachusetts. It is also said to be among the first places in North America where the system of public education was born.
