Ortonville, Michigan, in Oakland county, is 10 miles N of Waterford, Michigan (center to center) and 41 miles NW of Detroit, Michigan. The village is included in the Detroit metropolitan area. As of the year 2000 census, 1,535 people lived in Ortonville.
