Delano, Minnesota, in Wright county, is 16 miles W of Maple Grove, Minnesota (center to center) and 26 miles W of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The city is included in the Minneapolis - Saint Paul metropolitan area. As of the year 2000 census, 3,837 people lived in Delano.
