Ely, Minnesota, in St. Louis county, is 77 miles N of Duluth, Minnesota (center to center) and 212 miles N of St. Paul, Minnesota. The city benefits from easy access to the nearby cities and towns with which it shares the Duluth - Superior metropolitan area. Ely contains a population of approximately 3,724.
