Hopkins, Minnesota, in Hennepin county, is 2 miles E of Minnetonka, Minnesota (center to center) and 10 miles W of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The city is included in the Minneapolis - Saint Paul metropolitan area. As of the year 2000 census, 17,145 people lived in Hopkins.
