Moss Point History
The historic city of Moss Point is located in the Pascagoula metro area. The city’s early settlers brought about significant development which eventually led to the foundation of the Mississippi Power Company. A corporation till the year 1925, the company now provides huge employment in the city. One of the first universities to be established in the city was the University of Mississippi which was founded in 1848.
