Barnard is a VERY small town. There are many families, both young and old. There is no public transportation, unless you count the school bus; which does not pick up children who live within walking distance of the school. There are not, unfortunately, an overflow of wealthy single men in this town. There are also not an overflow of wealthy married men. This is a rural farm town that you would pass in a blink of the eye while driving down the highway which bisects the town. It is, however, a very nice town to raise childre, as the census would suggest by the large number of children in the town.
