Cresskill, New Jersey, in Bergen County, is 3 miles W of Yonkers, New York and 14 miles N of New York, New York. The town has a population of 7,746.
Cresskill History
Cresskill was formed from parts of Palisades Township, which was established on March 22, 1871. Palisades Township was originally a part of the Hackensack Township. Cresskill was incorporated as a town on May 8, 1894, named because of the watercress plants that grew in the region.
