East Hanover, New Jersey, in Morris county, is 4 miles SE of Parsippany, New Jersey and 11 miles NW of Newark, New Jersey. Part of the surrounding Newark metro area, East Hanover is home to some 11,393 residents.

East Hanover History

On December 7, 1720, Hanover Township was named after the House of Hanover in Germany. At that time, East Hanover was a part of the township. On March 12, 1928, East Hanover was separated from Hanover Township and was incorporated as an independent township.
