Linwood, New Jersey, in Atlantic county, is 26 miles E of Vineland, New Jersey (center to center) and 52 miles SE of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The city has a population of 7,172.

Linwood History

The city of Linwood was officially incorporated as a borough on February 20th, 1889, by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature. It was formed out of Egg Harbor Township. The community was officially incorporated as a city on April 27th, 1931. It is located in Atlantic County, which was formerly known as Egg Harbor Township. It became an official district in 1693 and the county was established in 1837.
