Oradell History

Originally established as the Borough of Delford, the city of Oradell was formed by incorporating portions from Palisades, Midland and Harrington. In November of 1920, the borough’s name was changed to Oradell. Bergen County was founded in 1683.

Things To Do In Oradell

The New Milford Plant, a water filtration and pumping plant owned by the Hackensack Water Company, was located on the artificially created Van Buskirk Island. This is one of the historic sites frequented by a number of visitors. Local museums include the Belskie Museum of Art and Science, the Bergen Museum of Art & Science, and the New Jersey Naval Museum.
