Brightwaters, New York, in Suffolk county, is 4 miles S of Brentwood, New York (center to center) and 37 miles E of New York, New York. The village is included in the Nassau - Suffolk metropolitan area. As of the year 2000 census, 3,248 people lived in Brightwaters.
