Chester, New York, in Orange county, is 30 miles N of Wayne, New Jersey (center to center) and 43 miles N of Newark, New Jersey. The village benefits from easy access to the nearby cities and towns with which it shares the Newburgh metropolitan area. Chester contains a population of approximately 3,445.
