Holbrook History

Holbrook is a census-designated hamlet in Suffolk County, which was one of the 12 original counties of New York State. The hamlet is partially located in the Town of Islip and partly in the Town of Brookhaven. The area was originally inhabited by the Algonquian-speaking Native Americans.
