Bexley History
The name of this city was suggested by Mr. Kilbounre who was an early resident. He chose this name after Bexley, England, where his family’s roots lay. It was established when the former Bullitt Park merged with the Lutheran Community of Pleasant Ridge. The area was incorporated as a village in 1908.
