Ada, Oklahoma, in Pontotoc county, is 53 miles SE of Norman, Oklahoma and 67 miles SE of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The city has a population of 15,691.

Ada History

In 1889, Jeff Reed, a native Texan, becmae the first permanent settler in the area. Other settlers soon followed. The city was named after Reed’s oldest daughter. The city was incorporated in 1901.
