Ardmore, Oklahoma, in Carter county, is 66 miles N of Denton, Texas and 91 miles S of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. There are an estimated 23,711 people in the city.

Ardmore History

Ardmore began to develop after the Santa Fe Railroad was constructed in the area. The city has witnessed a number of disasters, including the worst plane crash in the history of Oklahoma in 1966. The community is named after Ardmore, Pennsylvania.
