Central Point, Oregon, in Jackson county, is 4 miles NW of Medford, Oregon and 218 miles S of Portland, Oregon. The city is considered part of the Medford-Ashland metropolitan area. Central Point has a population of 12,493.

Central Point History

This area was first inhabited by Native American tribes. It was named after its location at the junction of two wagon roads. The city of Central Point was incorporated in 1889.
