Fairview History
Fairview was named after the local Methodist Sunday school. The area was originally inhabited by Native Americans. The city of Fairview was incorporated in 1908.

There are several parks in the city, including Ainsworth State Park, Rooster Rock State Park and Milo McIver State Park. Those interested in the area’s history should visit the Portland Art Museum, the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry and the Gresham History Museum. Boating and fishing facilities are provided by Blue Lake and Fairview Lake.
