Newport, Pennsylvania, in Perry county, is 53 miles NW of Lancaster, Pennsylvania (center to center) and 85 miles N of Baltimore, Maryland. The town is included in the Harrisburg - Lebanon - Carlisle metropolitan area. As of the year 2000 census, 1,506 people lived in Newport.
