Lynchburg History
Lynchburg is the county seat of Moore County. Moore County was founded in 1872. The Town of Lynchburg has only one traffic light. The area is famous for its Jack Daniels distillery, the oldest licensed distillery in the US.

The Huntsville Museum of Art, the Discovery Center at Murfree Springs and the U.S. Space & Rocket Center are all accessible from Lynchburg as well.
